Welcome to the 8th ICOWOBAS 2021
The first ICOWOBAS was held 14 years ago, in August 2007 In Surabaya to enhance a new collaboration between Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia. A year later, the second ICOWOBAS was held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia on 3-4 June 2009 jointly with the Regional Annual Fundamental Science Seminar (RAFSS 2009). In 2017, the conference was held at Salahaddin University (Kurdistan, Iraq) to enrich the collaboration between UTM, UNAIR and Salahaddin University. In 2019, this event was held again in Johor Bahru, Malaysia at UTM. This event becomes a biannual event held by one of those universities.
And finally this year, we are proud to announce that we, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga will be the host of 8th ICOWOBAS and we look forward to meeting everyone again virtually.
The 8th ICOWOBAS will be held to signifiy the collaboration between Universitas Airlangga (Indonesia), Universitas Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia), Tishk International University (Iraq) and Salahaddin University Erbil (Iraq).
The topic of the 8th ICOWOBAS 2021 is Development of Fundamental Science and Technology in New Normal Era: Its implementation towards Sustainable Development Goal’s and will address scopes as shown below but not limited to:
